His appointment as founding director of the American Film Institute in 1967 placed him at the forefront of culture and politics, safeguarding thousands of endangered films and training a new generation of filmmakers. Refunds will be returned back to the original form of payment and may take up to 7 days to process. Shipping and handling fees are non-refundable. If you are in the Los Angeles area, online orders can be returned or exchanged in-person at the store. Please bring the original order invoice that was included with your shipment. Don't worry, general admission tickets are not required to visit the Academy Museum Store!
