Kenny Gravillis was born and raised in East London. In 1987, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in graphic design. He quickly found his niche in the music industry, starting out in the art department at Def Jam Records. He designed classic album packages for Public Enemy, LL Cool J, and The Notorious B.I.G., to name a few. After five successful years at Def Jam, Gravillis moved to MCA Records in Los Angeles, where he quickly became the Vice President of Creative Services.
In 2000, Gravillis and his business partner, DeAnna, launched Gravillis Inc., a boutique design agency behind dozens of iconic movie posters including recent Oscar®-winning films such as Free Solo (2018), BlacKkKlansman (2018), If Beale Street Could Talk (2018), and Bohemian Rhapsody (2018).
In June of 2018, Gravillis became an official member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in the Marketing and Public Relations Branch.
