About the Author
Lise Funderburg is an award-winning author and journalist. Her books include the bestselling memoir Pig Candy: Taking My Father South, Taking My Father Home; an anthology of all new work from 25 writers, APPLE, TREE: Writers on Their Parents; the acclaimed oral history Black, White, Other: Biracial Americans Talk About Race and Identity, and The Color Purple: A Memory Book of the Broadway Musical. The recipient of numerous fellowships and grants, she teaches creative writing at the University of Pennsylvania and lives in Philadelphia, PA, and Ghent, NY.
